The Active Site of Amino Acid Incorporation in the Nucleus by K. R. Rees,
نویسندگان
چکیده
It was shown by Rees & Rowland (1961) that rat-liver nuclei isolated in 025 M-sucrose incorporated amino acids into protein, and nucleotides into RNA. Although the incorporation was inhibited to varying degrees by anoxia and by several inhibitors of oxidative phosphorylation, it was not affected by detergents, by freezing and thawing the nuclei, or by disruption of the nuclei by ultrasonic vibration (Rees, Ross & Rowland, 1961). Wehave now studied isolated nucleoli and other subnuclear fractions in order to investigate the active site of synthesis of proteins and nucleic acids within the nucleus. In addition the enzymic and chemical composition of the various fractions has been examined. Part of this work has been published in a preliminary form (Rowland, Rees & Varcoe, 1962). Electrical Conductivity Studies of 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium Salicylate as an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient Ionic Liquid (API-IL) in Aqueous Amino Acids Solutions
The molar conductivity data of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium salicylate, [BMIm][Sal] as an active pharmaceutical ingredient ionic liquid (API-IL) have been determined in water and aqueous solutions of amino acids, glycine and L-alanine at T= (288.15 to 318.15) K. The molar conductivity data were analyzed by low concentration Chemical Model (lcCM) and limiting molar conductivities ( ), ion associa...

The ultrasonic velocity, density and viscosity of some Schiff bases of 4-amino benzoic acid were measured in 1,4-dioxane and dimethylformamide at 308.15 K. Various acoustical properties such as isentropic compressibility (ks), Rao’s molar sound function (Rm), the Van der Waals constant (b), molar compressibility (W), inter molecular free len...
متن کاملAmino Acid Sequence Analysis of Hemagglutinin Protein of H9N2 Isolated from Broilers in Tehran in 2007
Background and Aims: Since 1998, Iranian poultry industry has been affected by avian influenza (AI) virus, subtype H9N2. The association of high mortality and case report of H5N1 and H9N2 influenza virus in wild birds in recent years raised the suspicion of a possible new genetic modified AI virus. Methods: Partial nucleotide sequences and deduced amino acid of hemagglutinin (HA) genes of 4 H9...
متن کاملELUCIDATION OF pK VALUES FOR ACTIVE SITE OF HORSERADISH PEROXIDASE AND BINDING STUDY OF INTERACTION WITH N-PHENYL BENZHYDROXAMIC ACID USING A SPECIAL DIFFERENCE SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC TECHNIQUE
The binding behavior of a competitive inhibitor, N-phenylbenzhydroxamic acid (BHA) against horseradish peroxidase (HRP) was studied in order to understand and predict the interaction mechanism of hydrogen donors with the enzyme. The dissociation constants of the complexes of HRP-BHA, HRP-donor and HRP-BHA-azide were estimated at specified conditions by difference spectroscopy. The binding s...
متن کاملThermodynamic-Biochemical Study of Complexes of Intermediate Elements with α-Amino Acids in Some Proteins with Active Site
In this paper, the quantum chemistry calculations related to the structural parameter of the chromite and molybdate anions and the complexes obtained from them with the glycine and alanine amino acids were performed. The calculations were carried out using HF and DFT methods and in the base series 6-31G *. Thermodynamic studies related to the formation of complexes have been considered and thei...
